FUHRMANN Engineering Inc. (FEI) provided Phase I design services for Various Bicycle Projects and Pedestrian Accommodations, Various Routes, Various Counties throughout District One, IDOT.

Fuhrmann is currently providing services for the following:

Phase I engineering services are required to evaluate, provide information on performance of, and to identify opportunities to implement bicyclist and pedestrian accommodation strategies, such as Contraflow Bike Lanes, Buffered Bike Lanes, Left-side Bike Lanes, Raised Cycle Tracks, Barnes Dance (diagonal pedestrian crossings), All-Red, Four Way Pedestrian Crossing, Enhanced Crosswalks, Pedestrian Signals, and Red Light Cameras.

The work included extensive site/field visits, measurements, photo documentation, traffic data collection, behavioral data collection, and safety studies, including a crash analysis, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and public involvement including opinion surveys, and all other related work necessary to complete the analysis.
