Fuhrmann Engineering Inc (FEI) provided Phase II Engineering Services for a three-span composite steel beam bridge, including preparation of specifications, estimates, the markup of base drawings for final plans, QA/QC review of the plan development outline, and final plans prepared by the prime consultant. Additional work included QA/QC review of design calculations and final plans prepared by the prime consultant for one of the other bridge structures.
Business I-55 (Veteran’s Parkway) serves as one of the primary north/south routes through the cities of Bloomington, Illinois and Normal, Illinois. This $12.5Million project encompassed the complete replacement of four existing bridge structures on horizontally curved alignments and vertical curves. The structure was originally constructed in 1963.
