FUHRMANN Engineering Inc. (FEI) provided engineering design services on site plans for the installation of a new park facility in Centennial Park, located on the west side of the City of Springfield, Illinois. FEI’s role was providing civil engineering design services, including site layout, topographic survey, site drainage including a pond and a bio-swale, a one-mile pedestrian path with a trail that connected to an existing shared use path, a parking lot with an access road and signage, and construction management.
FEI worked closely with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, the Springfield Park District, and The Lakota Group in the development of the park.
